Unitedcats Supermodel contest rules

  • The contest is organized by United Dogs and Cats LLC.
  • The contest begins on 11th of November 2008 and lasts until 28th of November 2008.
  • All Uniteddogs and Unitedcats registered users and moderators have the right to take part in this contest.
  • United Dogs and Cats LLC employees and their family members are not allowed to take part in this campaign.

  • Although the contest is held on 6 different language sites, all photos inserted for competition in 6 different language portals from Unitedcats are competing under same criteria (listed in one chart). The competition is unified for all Unitedcats language versions.
  • All photos are seen on 6 mentioned language versions of Unitedcats at the same time and can be voted by all Uniteddgs and Unitedcats users.
  • The contest winners will be included in Unitedcats 2009 Supermodel calendar. Best 12 cats will become Supermodel in Unitedcats 2009 Supermodel calendar. They will have a 30x30cm picture place for one month in 2009. Tens of other photos will be included in the calendar as well.
    All users whose cat wins Supermodel title will get:
    • 5000 bonus points
    • 3 examples of the Unitedcats Supermodel 2009 calendar for free
    • Other Unitedcats branded gifts
    All other users whose cat makes their way to Unitedcats Supermodel 2009 calendar will get additional prices like bonuspoints, Unitedcats branded gifts, Unitedcats Supermodel Calendar.
  • In order to take part in the campaign, add some of your cat’s photos to the contest.
  • To take part you have to upload a new photo to the contest. (the photo can be a pic that you have in your cat profile already, but has to be uploaded separately to the contest).
  • The photo file has to correspond to these properties:
    • Photo size – 4 megapixels
    • File size approximately 2-3 MB (you can upload bigger photos than in your profile)
    • The title for the photo is obligatory
  • All users who awake a suspicion in faking (making extra profiles for voting or anything else that is considered as braking contest or Uniteddogs/Unitedcats site rules) will be excluded from the contest without prior warning.
  • Members, who add fake photos or incorrect information, will be removed from the campaign.
  • Members, who violate the general terms and condition of United Dogs & Cats or the terms of forum, will be removed from the campaign.
  • Every user is responsible for their photos and their friends not faking. It will also be considered as braking the rules.
  • The photo that you upload has to have dog/cat on it. Preferably it should have only animals on it and no human figures.
  • Users have one week to upload the pictures.
  • All users will have 1 week to vote for the pictures.
  • Final decision will be made by United Dogs & Cats team and professional photographers.
  • User can upload up to 3 photos. If you have more cats, you have to make a choice!
  • User has to have legal rights for the photo. If there are other animals on the photo, who do not belong to user, she/he has to have permission from real owner (United Dogs & Cats has the right to ask for written permission).
  • Uniteddogs and Cats LLC will have the right to show pictures participating in the Photo contest in Widgets (Uniteddogs’ applications used on other internet sites) made by Uniteddogs and Cats team.
  • The photos will be evaluated in the following scale: "so-so", "good", "super", which will accordingly give 3, 4 and 5 points.
  • In addition to users votes, UDC team from Estonia and team of photographers and designers will make the final choices.
  • The chart of the contest will be shown when the voting period is over.
  • The winners will be announced on www.Unitedcats.com/photocampaign
  • Winning photos will be used in Unitedcats Supermodel calendar 2009.
  • The awards will not be paid in cash or changed to any other award.
  • In order to receive the award, the winner has to identify himself/herself (correct personal information under Uniteddogs’ user profile is needed).
  • The details, how the awards will be given to the winners, will be clarified personally.
  • United Dogs & Cats has the right to change these terms and conditions.
  • If immutable forces (force majeure) appear, United Dogs and Cats LLC has the right to cancel this campaign and not to give out the awards. A notice about that will be published on www.unitedcats.com.
  • All misunderstandings will be solved according to Estonian law.

What information is used in the calendar

  • Your cats’ name will be shown in the calendar
  • Your homecountries flag will also be shown next to the picture.
  • Some descriptive sentences about cat can be added as well
