Sorry, but because all of us want to have the calendar with good quality pics, smaller photos can´t be accepted, because they do not look good in big format.

Question: My cat Tekircan had a 3rd. place on photocontest before. Can I upload the same photo to here?

Answer: Yes you can, if it contributes to all other necessary criterias (especially the quality part)

Question: Can you enter more than one cat?

Answer: You can upload photos of all of your cats. They can be alone on the pic or all together. But one user can upload 3 photos!

Question: My pictures are appr. 3 megapixel. If you print these on normal picture paper, the size of a picture can be up to 30*40 cm. Why isn´t the quality good enough for the competition? How large is this calender going to be?

Answer: Calendar is going to be 30x30 cm. The decision about quality was difficult.
Photos that are made with a professional camera, even a 3 MP picture can be printed on A4 paper, but imagine taking pics with simpler cameras, their size might be 3 or 4 MP, but still they are not appropriate to be printed on a gloss paper and put on the wall.

Answer: If you went on this page, you definitely saw a uploading boxes

Question: Can I change the caption once I´ve uploaded the pic??

Answer: No, you can´t change the title of the pic. You should be careful while uploading it

Question: The system has uploaded one of my cat´s images twice - please delete one of them so I can ensure the third pic is uploaded. Not too sure what happened, but here is how it went: Uploaded 1st pic no probs. Second pic did not upload for some reason (title: I have my eye on you) maybe it was too big or something. Went to next image - Lion in Repose - uploaded fine. Tried to upload ´eye´ again but system placed "lion" pic and its caption in. I couldn´t get it to clear so hit refresh - voila, two of the same images uploaded - help!

Answer: There is 2 pictures from you left to participate in the contest. If you wish to delete some of your pictures, you can do it on the contest page: http://en.unitedcats.com/photocampaign/photos Log in and click the button "Your photos" on the left - settings of your pictures will open up!

Question: Are edited (photoshopped) photos allowed?

Answer: Yes, they are allowed. But we recommend you to keep in mind that the final pictures for the calendar are chosen by professional photographers and UDC team, so it should look pretty natural to become one of the Supermodels in the Unitedcats calendar 2009.

Question: Chelsea´s pics were taken on a 4 megapixel camera yet won´t upload. Get message unable to load, use 4 pixel pics!

Answer: There is a chance that the 4 pixel camera is set for taking smaller pictures, not the biggest ones, as regularly an average user do not make that big pictures. Try to check the quality and size from the camera settings!

Answer: Only registered users from UD and UC can vote for the pictures.

Question: My photos are from a 4.1 megapixel camera, but the resulting shot is 2304 X 1728 pixels, and I therefore cannot submit pics to this contest! Is there a way that I can edit these photos (on the computer) to adhere to the 3000 X 2000 pixel restriction? I have used Irfan View to make images smaller, but cannot figure out how to get a larger pixel picture......

Answer: Picture should have the resolution about 2500x1600 pixels. Your picture will be perfect for the contest

Answer: For joining the Supermodel campaign you should have an activated e-mail address. The link and a code are sent to your e-mail address. You can upload pictures after you have activated your e-mail address

Question: i guess i didn´t read all the rules yesterday, and then i did today, i did not realise they had to be at least 2-3 MB... one of the photos i entered was 5.03MB will that be ok??? and my other 2 pictures i know now are not big enough, so i can delete them and enter 2 more??? thank you!

Answer: The size 2-3 MB is approximate size. Important is the resolution pictures have. If your picture is less than 2 MB it doesn´t have to mean automatically that your picture doesn´t qualify to the contest. You should consider the resolution first (about 2500x1600 pixels). If you can add the picture to the contest and you get no error message, it is suitable and everything is fine. So paws up!
