Mercedes is missing!
For anyone who hasn´t seen her profile, she´s a small gray/brown kitty, with dark brown stripes, about a year and a half with green eyes. She´s been missing a week which may not seem long for most but she´s never outside for more than a few hours so the first night she was missing it was crazy, not unlike now. I don´t live there I haven´t seen her of course just so you don´t think that I am writing because of that... I just wanted to say I know how you feel Mambo was gone for a week and then came back...so there is a lot of worrying but in the end it should turn out great I hope he comes back home soon safe and sound our prayers are with you and all our paws crossed

As of half an hour ago she has been missing a week, this is driving me so crazy..

She goes out every now and then but never for more than a few hours or so.. and even more so i´m worried that she might have purposefully run away because the last night I saw her she brought in a bird and I had to fight to get it away from her, I locked her inside but she managed to run out the door when someone opened it and I haven´t seen her since..
Tomorrow posters are going up in the area so hopefully someone´s seen her

I regret learning this news.
Did you try to put small posters with her picture in the vets too ?
Perhaps that your Mercedes seeks another in love ?
I hope that she comes back quickly so that you can fill her again more caresses.

Hey there, I´m sorry but I´m probably too far north of you to do much good. I assume you´ve already spoken to the pound and to the Calgary Humane Society, but if you haven´t yet contacted rescue societies in and around Calgary you could try that too. Here are some links to rescue societies in your area, (and a link to links). Sometimes people find stray cats and take them straight to rescue societies rather than the pound or CHS. Good luck and I hope Mercedes comes home soon!

I am praying for Mercedes return. It´s like losing one of your children when our cats go missing.

Well.. they found her. dead in the middle of the road.
the city just called and told me. i have never felt so much pain in my entire life,
she was so young and finally had a great life ahead of her.
i feel like i will never be the same again and i cannot breathe.

So sorry Stephanie to hear the news about Mercedes. Our hearts go out to you...every time we hear about another little kitty soul lost it´s like we´ve lost one of our own. I am sure Treat and co. are looking after her over the Rainbow Bridge where she´ll be running free... Whilst distressing, at least you know what has happened as not knowing is much worse. My very best.

I am so sorry Stephanie. My eyes are filled with tears. I know the pain and the heartbreak that comes with losing a pet. I am sure she playing now over the Rainbow Bridge and I do believe firmly that one day we will see our beloved pets again.

Thank you so much everyone, it´s such a hard thing to accept but all of your warm wishes will help me on the road to recovery. Not only is her loss heartbreaking, but to see how happy my other cats are now that she´s gone hurts twice as bad.
