My Little Miss Boots is classed as a "special needs" cat, and has only 20% vision, but I have noticed that her other senses seem to be way above the norm, especially her hearing, I am always trying to sneak up on her to give her a cuddle etc but have NO chance - I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing?

Hi Carole.
This phenomenon to compensate lost senses is not only seen by cats. I have a cousin who is blind and he can hear so much more then me. I guess it´s nature´s way to help you survive if you get disabled
Will you give Little Miss Boots (really love her name) a loving cuddle from me, please.

I have had 2 cats who became progressively blind with old age, but they were past any compensation with other senses, poor old things.
