Britain is going through a mini heatwave. I am just wondering how the other British cats are coping with the heat. Also, those members who live in warm climates, how do your cats cope with the heat?

Viz is very sluggish at the moment. He is not liking the heat too much. I keep putting water in front of him so he keeps hydrated. He´s not been eating much either. All he wants to do is sleep, even the much hated fox passed him sleeping in the summer house and he didn´t even butt an eyelid.

From the personal point of view I am loving the weather, I just hopes it hangs on for another a week as I am due to go on holiday shortly.

Britain is going through a heat wave while Australia is going through a extremely freezing wet cold snap, it is just so so cold here.
I was informed by a vet that this is one of the worst years we have had with cats getting cat flu due to the wet cold weather and nearly every guest that comes to work requests a electric blanket too.

My cats personally love the heat, I call them little heater hogs, as even when we feel like we are roasting in our house when the fire gets really really hot they all still see who can get the closest to the heat!

It´s not THAT hot...

well, don´t talk about hot weather to us here in Italy! We had some extremely hot days (fortunately we´re having some cool wind now which is fantastic!!!) and during those days maya was a bit exhausted.. She didn´t eat much and kept laying on the floor in order to get at least her belly to cool down! And she slept quite a lot. She always come near me during the winter and she sleeps on me or in contact with my body, but when it is hot she gets where no part of her body can be touched by me! I´m happy that this afternoon she came to sleep near me, but as I said before, it´s much cooler today!
Glad that you finally have your summer there in Britain-it was about time! ENJOY!!!!!

Chelsea loves the sun. She has been outside most of today and is as usual hedgehogging tonight. She always has fresh water in her child´s toy bucket on the patio! Plenty of shade in the garden for her if it gets too hot. Indoors no A/C (this is the UK remember) but lots of fans!

very hot here and lou just lays there. after the sun goes down he eill move a little more but basically its laying under he fan for him. he hates it.

It´s terribly hot and humid all the summer and and the greater part of the autumn here in Israel. It´s very difficult for the cats, especially long-haired ones. The only thing that helps is the air-conditioner. When it´s off, Bonny tries to find the coolest place in the house : or in the bathroom or near the entrance door. He also drinks a lot.

Viz is a little more lively today, after all he slept a long time yesterday LOL!!!! I think today is going to be as warm as yesterday, but he seems to be out and about in the neighbourhood this morning and will probably nap later when the heat picks up. He´s also eaten a little too which is good news.

It´s going to be hot today. Mine are all asleap even now. But I love it...and my felines like it in the evening when it just gets less hot and there are a lot of insects to chase...

Fairly hot today down south.

It´s fairly hot in Aberdeen still today, we´re not used to this kind of heat this far north . My cats don´t seem too bothered, they´re just sleeping through the day as usual.

what heatwave? I mean it´s been a little warmer than it is in winter but today was the only really hot day we´ve had. Kimmy has a very cool and shady courtyard to sit in and she is out there on a cushion. She looks soooooooo sweet. Kimmy´s Mum
