Baby teeth

I have just taken note of a very interesting article (I would be less stupid this evening by laying down me…).

The kittens have them also temporary teeth - baby teeth - that they lose between eleventh and thirtieth week of age. Then, the 30 permanent teeth start to push.

During this period, it is necessary to be attentive. The kittens can suffer indeed (painful gums) and consequently, not to nourish himself correctly.

Do you have already to find a baby tooth of your kitten ?

I never noticed baby teeth, but my Tilde, now 16 weeks old, did go off her food a little for a while. Perhaps it was due to the teeth. Interesting.

I never noticed the teeth either. But I did notice a time when Ozzie and Isis wouldn´t eat their dry food anymore and I had to feed them wet. I just wonder why I never found any itsy bitsy teeth. I hope they didn´t swallow them

I have saved quite a few of my cats baby teeth over the years. It is hard to find them though as they normally swallow them. I think they are precious and oh so cute!!

You are so lucky, Bratzandcatz, to have found these baby teeth. They are so small that it is almost impossible to see them.

I don´t think that the kittens can have baby teeth. I would be curious to see one of them. It must be so small !

I found my gaby´s tooth when she was about six months old. We asumed it was a baby tooth. Late bloomer perhaps
