I seem to be sweeping the floor several times a day, where the kittns have dragged the cat litter out on their feet. It just seems to stick to their paws.I have tried different types of cat litter, but it is always the same. Do I have to resign myself to constant sweeping?
Is there cat litter that does not stick to cats´ feet?

I haven´t heard of any litter that doesnt stick to feet because it gets stuck between their toes, but there are litter darg mats that are designed to remove the litter from their feet as they leave the box, |

I have a litter mat, 3 actually, under the litter box, but most of the time they hop right over it! |

I have the same type of mat as the Soft-Touch Track Mat, but mine is shaped like a cat´s paw. It cost $5.00 in a department chain store (are there Walmarts in England?) and costs twice that in a pet shop chain. I thought it might be a waste of money when I first bought it, but it´s unbelievable how much litter it catches - it was a great investment!! |

There is no Wallmart near here, but I will have a look around the shops. |

Try an old rubber car mat the sort with little upright rubber sticks - they work quite well and are quite cheap |

I use Cat´s Best, and find stones next to the litter box, but only there (in Turbo´s ´own´ room), occasionally one or two in the rest of the house. |

I use a reed door mat as my litter catcher. It works great. All the cats are happy to walk on it, and it catches almost most of the litter. My guys create more mess with their creative digging that the walk away from the tray. |

ok thanks! is it expensive for you £10 for small bag here - I think it may be worth it though. Merlin was so good yesterday he even went in it to cough up a hairball! |

Ten pounds for a small bag... seems pretty pricey: a small bag of Cat´s Best is 7 Euro which is 5 Pounds 50. It lasts me a long time (obviously I only have Turbo.) |

I use arm and hammer super scoop. I happen to try it because I had a good coupon for and now its all I buy! Its clumps great has very little dust, has great oder control and tho it does stick to their paws a bit I only have to sweep up every other day or so. I |

Here in NZ we get one called Masterpet Super Premium and it comes in 3 different sizes. I have tried all the others and this is definitely the best one over here form not sticking and odour control - it is also the cheapest which is a bonus!! |

I use the rubber mat from 3M. The one that has grass like rubber strands sticking upwards. Works well for me. I´m training them to use the toilet now though. |

Haha! Hi ebigum! I´m using the litterkwitter: www.litterkwitter.com. It requires quite a bit of patience to use though. I had my air share of adjustment problems. |

On the subject of cat litter I came across a web site www.thelighthouseonline.com and clicked on catmom it is an article about clumping clay kitty litter and how it may be causing sickness and even death in some cats and kittens that use it. It is quite frightening to think that something that a lot of us cat owners use (myself included) could cause these sort of problems. I honestly do not want to scare anyone but I am really concerned and want to do the best for my girls and let others know so we can make the best decision for our kitty´s. Anyone else heard about this? |
