Can this be normal for a kitten? The kitten is about 7wks old. My daughter is looking to adopt it. But, not so sure if it may have something wrong with it.

Is this a shelter kitten? If so, it should be possible to ask to speak to the vet they have on call. Has the kitten been tested for diseases (like FIV and Feleuk?). Has it had it´s vaccinations? If it´s not a shelter kitten, do you know anything about it´s parent cats and it´s background? Irregular pupils can certainly be an indicator of neurological disease or injury. If it were me, I´d be tempted to ask for a vet check before making the commitment to adopt. Then again, if it were me I´d probably adopt it, keep it separate from my cat and pay to have it thoroughly examined and treated. If you have a vet you trust and see regularly try calling them up and just asking over the phone if it´s something you should be concerned about.

That´s what I was thinking, maybe something neurological... No it´s not a shelter kitten, it´s just a free kitten in a paper. I know she can´t afford a big vet bill right now (just bought herself a new car today and she´s only 1 I think I may tell her to hold off on that kitty... She´s adorable but, if there is something wrong with her I really hate to see my daughter have to deal with that.. She wanted to adopt it to give it a home but... I just think it´s not a good idea for her.

Well in humans unequal pupils indicate some kind of neurological disorder like a hamatoma so I would be very concerned that this little one has some brain damage.
