This new feature enabling users to have an album under their profiles which can hold up to 100 photos is now in place. The album will cost 500 points. Click on My Profile in the main menu bar and then on My Albums or on Photos and then Albums. The directions for setting up the album are clear and easy to follow and there´s a link to the album rules which should be read before adding photos to the album.

Not only photos of cats are allowed, but drawings and photos of other animals as well which is super!! (Please keep in mind however that this is a cat and dog site).

it is a great idea I haven´t filled out all my photo space yet but when I do it will be great! and when you buy the album where will it be stored? I mean for users to see...on ´my profile´? love the idea! and the ´my gifts´ is great too! a gift history...and it´s much easier to see what your cat got when...fantastic!

yes I read the ´album rules´ it says any animals are welcome! humans without animals no...but any animals can be added whether they are yours or not!

As I have barely sorted out bucket shop and have trouble loading a jpg, I may give this excellent sounding idea a miss! But great function.

I´ve just carefully read the rules as well as some information given to mods by Admin concerning album content. To the best of my knowledge and belief, the animals in the album do not have to belong to the user. If this is not the case, I´ll post the correct information here.

It´s preferable that cat pictures are predominant in our cat site albums and dog pictures in the dog site albums, but pictures of other kinds of animals can be posted as well.

Please, nosyparker, don´t delete the stray cat pictures unless you hear otherwise in this thread or from a mod directly.

Question No 2: What if I want to upload more pictures under a different heading? "Horses" for example. I went horseback-riding in winter and the pictures of the horses in the snow are just marvellous! Couldn´t we have the option of files within the album? Please, please, please!

You´re so organized, nosyparker!! I´m envious. You can certainly add the horse pics to the album and I believe you can add captions as well. I would think if you loaded them one after the other, they would appear together as a group. Would that do for now? Maybe you could explain the file idea a little more.

There can be only one title for the album. So far mine is "Greek stray cats". How can I add horses to that? And then I would like to add a few more pics of the kittens Xena & Ramcey had a few years ago. Would these fit under the same title? I guess not. But if I changed the album title, what would be a good one to include all these?

So what I mean is that we need more files within the file. I don´t know how else to explain, it´s like the files you have in your computer. Duh

Mine´s mostly pictures of my dogs at the moment till I can find where on earth I saved all Frodo and Arwyn´s photos to.

daftdog, yes you´re right - it´s one album per user for photos of both cats and dogs (and other animals if you wish). I was mistaken about UC and UD each having separate albums and I apologize if my error has caused any confusion. Thanks for noticing and bringing up this issue.
