How about a brand new shoutbox for UC? I know it´s easy to find and doesn´t cost a thing. It would be nice to say "hello everybody" whenever we log in or greet a specific user if we feel like it. Many sites have it and it works great for the members. It´s better that sending cat-mail if you don´t have sth private to say and many others can join the chit-chat.

Yes, that sounds good. My gripe agains this foum is that one has to stay on topic, which inhibits free interaction.

Yeap! You can see what a shoutbox is like in this site. Have a look in the left column, a bit further down (it says Πάρλλλα). I have written sth down as nosyparker there too.

Yes. You log in, write your name once (it remembers you) and write whatever you want to say. It´s interactive.

ajax is usually best for shoutboxes, so the user doesn´t have to have their page refresh by the 3 seconds
shoutboxes are great fun tho, say yo every time you login, and so a kitty can warn when he / she is going to post a blog about her bath
they are also good done in flash, and saved in mysql DB, or a flat file DB !
ofcource, im shore the admin´s and programmers know this already, and if they decide to make one, it will probley take a wile, depending on how busy they are!

Well, it´s been a month since I started the thread and still no shout box. It only takes a few seconds for the admin to install and I really believe it would be fun for all members. Maybe admin simply forgot about it? Sorry if I am too persistent, but I just wanted to remind you.
