This may be totally unreasonable to suggest but when Kimmy catmails her new friends she expects a reply very quickly and I have to tell her that some cats are sleeping as it is bedtime when we are having breakfast. Being numericaly challenged, would it be possible to have a few clocks somewhere on the site showing say, the time in New York, California, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the UK ... then we would all know if we are catmailing at unsociable hours (and OK we don´t expect instant replies ...!!)

What sort of computer have you got? You can get desktop widgets of world clocks. There are also websites which show different world times. |

Ah yes. Well I don´t have a widget. I was thinking of a fast reference - perhaps either on the corner of the cat´s profile or at the top of the page. I know LA is 8 hours behind London ... NY ... 6? But apart from that ...? Kimmy´s Mum xxx |

I have firefox on my computer and one of the downloads you can get free for it is "Fox Clocks" once I downloaded it I could pick the countries I wanted to see and so now at the bottom of my screen are the times for UK, US x 2, Hong Kong and OZ. |

what leave the site and look at something else??? I could write it on a post-it but wouldn´t it be great if it was even easier than that? |

Thanks Old Woman but we were asked for ideas for the site and this is mine. If each member when joining is allocated a clock to show on the same page as the cat´s profile we can instantly see what time it is with them rather than checking where they are and then going to another site or looking at a browser. It´s just a suggestion for the site really - not a biggie. I can live without it either way. |

Thanks Matilda and Dot and Marketa ...I keep loads of sites open on my browser and would prefer it all to be a bit simpler - just a quick glance. means we can say ´Good Morning´, ´Good evening´ etc.. It needn´t be on each member´s page ... although that would be great. It could be at the top of the UC page. Old woman I wasn´t correcting you, I was just stating my case really. I use this site to de-stress from what was a very bad day yesterday so I don´t want to fall out. |

I am probably being a bit slow, but the foxclock does what you say you want, if you don´t insist that each member has their own clock. |

I´m done on this one now oldwoman! |

Nooo it´s OK old woman, I get like that too. It´s called passion! Dogged determination.I think your idea is great. It´s just I like everyone on one site where I can find it and I am not that as good at computer technology as I could be. I keep several other sites open ... ie hotmail, yahoo etc. and if feel if I navigate away I might miss something. I also find I want to catmail someone but have to check their profile to see where they are from then work out the nearest large city ... (ie for the time) and by then something else has distracted me and I forget the first thing I was doing. So, if it was just there ... you could think ´ah it is 4 am with Kittibit´s Mum so I won´t expect her to reply for at least 8 hours ...´. But your idea is also good. So let´s see what the site say. I daresay it would be too complicated. Oh, I don´t know what a widget is ... sorry I know the term ... |
