Hi my name is Duckie.
I lost my momma when I was only 2 weeks old! We lived in the sewer drain at the Norwood Clinic. My new momma fed my mumma and said to take it to us. She did. She said to us "Okay babies. I love you so much. I have a bite. I hate that I have to leave to get an xray but Stay here and I will come back." My momma never returned. I said to my sister and brother I love you. We didnt really realize what was going on at the moment. We didnt know what to think. All we knew was that our momma wasnt there and we had to find her! We came out and people picked us up. My momma said I was hers. Me and my family got seperated! we were going to new homes! I didnt know where my momma was! I fighted and never got loose! My new momma said Its ok. Your momma is better right now. I saw tears in her eyes... I knew then. My momma had died. I never told my brother. I dont think he relized it. My sister did though. After this my new momma took me home and feed me with a bottle. I wasnt heathly until I came to her house. I still miss and remember what my momma looked like today. A white brown and black mixed cat. :´( it hurts to much to talk about so I must stop.

Duckie, is so wonderful that you found a safe and loving home. You were so young to lose your birth family. You are an incredible survivor!

Awww Duckie, I am so sorry for your loss, but what a gain in the process of your life. Duckie we were taken away from our mom way too early. We have been through a lot too. Maybe we can keep in contact and share our stories with one another. Hugs Kadi and Smokey

Well, Duckie, now that you and Chewie went to the vet at least you will never be a mama who has to leave her own kittens alone in the world. Not that your family would ever let bad things happen to any kittens you WOULD have had but this way it´s for sure. Such cruel things happen to cat families.

We the williams gang are sorry for your loss, We are glad that you got such a loving home! We know how it is to not have your mom, our new mom has taken in many kittens fed them with a bottle and given them lots of love. She then let them pick who they want to go home with when her friends would come by to see them. She dosn´t let the people pic the cat, it´s the cats place to pick who they go to. If they don´t like anyone, and she can tell then they stay with her untill they find that right person. Most say mom is weird because she dosn´t keep a cat, if the cat wants to leave her home she lets it go with that person the cat likes. She says she dosn´t own us she says she is here to protect GODs creatures untill they can find the home they wish to have. Rosco was one of 8 kittens in a nasty cage and mom could only take one and he was the littleest in the bunch so she felt that was the one that needed her the most. then we have laver & shirley their owner died and her husband was going to take them to the woods and drop them off , so again mom took them in, then we have kitty kitty, baby bob, and a few that aren´t not listed yet or got homes already and can´t be listed that mom took in. Mom at one time had 6 pregnant mommys that each had anywhere from 4 to 8 kittens each. She would foster them untill they were olde enough to go to a private adoption agency in her town and then she would find most of them homes before they left her house because she had them sign a paper that they would bring them back to her if they didn´t work out no mater how old they were. Well thats our story and hope you enjoyed it.

Duckie you are very lucky to be healthy and loved as much as you are. Some kittens arent so lucky Alex´ mommy was also killed right after birth. She gave birth at night and was attacked and killed my a wild animal. Her owners found her and the surviving kittens in the barn the next day. Then they sent the kittens imediatly to the petshop to be sold off. Im glad you found a loving home though !

Duckie I feel your pain and loss, I wanted to let you know that everything is going to be okie hunny.

As hard as things are remember that you are loved and well taken care of, most kitties such as yourself aren´t quite so lucky, my mommy rescued me at 3 weeks of age, my real mother wanted nothing to do with me whatsoever.

I remember what she looks like and in all honesty I´ll forever be heartbroken that the fact my real mother never cared about me! she had left me to die while my brother´s and sister´s ate and fed off her teets and what not.

Had it not been for my new mommy taking me in I wouldn´t be here today, I´m very grateful to be loved and taken cared of, I see the true passion and understanding and warm and loving nature my new mommy gives me, I am now 3 yrs. old and my name is Spitz.

I can honestly tell you in my own personal opinion that I´d rather deal with my real mother being dead than to know in my heart and soul that she not once gave a rats bum about me, and that is even harder to go through.

I understand your pain and loss and I really do sympathize for you and pray that everything turns out good for you like it has for me but to live with the memory is going to be even harder than anything that ever comes your way.

As my new mommy put it, "don´t give up just yet lil one" .. you´re a tough lil one Duckie and I can see it!! Your real mommy really loved you and I can see that, just remember she is always watching over you, show her how strong and gorgeous you can be!!!

Best of luck to you Duckie!!

Spitz!

P.S. if you ever need a friend look me up under my owner´s name, .
