Hi....how about a thread of everyone introducing their ´babies´ and their selves like the Gary and Lisa thread.......we could cut and paste that entry in here and just keep it going.....

Deelee is my baby......he is right now as I speak taking a bath in front of this computer.....talk about being a cat!!!......the purring is deafening!!!........so, he is my special friend.....goes where I go, given the chance and has to have his special cat greeting (me rubbing down his back several time, quickly, all the way to the tip of his tail with a bit of tail tipping smushing to end the greeting.....he adores this and expects it, everytime I come home from wherever or he comes in from outside....he is a ´cheap date´ to say the least....ha!). He is about 12 years old and came to us as a kitten, having been born and raised in my daughter´s friend´s home. We treasure this cat......he is very special!!!

As for me, am a Mom to him and 3 other cats and 3 daughters (2 married, 1, not), married to Gary for 41 years and we are grandparents to 3 granddaughters and one grandson. We also have 3 grandkitties and 2 grandpuppies and one honorary grandpuppy (my daughter´s boyfriends dog). I love to write, sing, garden, cook from scratch, sail and dance.......love UC, of course and love to laugh, smile and be as helpful as I can and love to meet new people.

I live in Dinuba, California which is a very hot place in the summer....ha!....and very foggy and cold in the winter......ha!

Katie is the oldest of the set..more attitude than two person put together.. lovely ginger color..beautiful eyes and one mischievous nature..she gives u affection when she wants too and loves to sleep alot. she means the world to me...

Christie is the latest addition and the youngest..she is very playful, afraid of nothin (not even her big sister)..non stop energy and this is one cat that really loves her stomach.she will eat her food, then her sisters and if i am eatin too she would want some of my food too..unbelievable big appetite..

these two girls have brought soo much joy into my life, i am very thankful for the lord for bringin them into my life...

Hi I am Brigitte and we live in George a beautiful town in South Africa. I will be 55 is Sept. and have been married to Mickey for 34 years. We have 2 children Michele 28 who is married and is a forensic pathologist and Tristan 21 studying eletronic engineering at Stellenbosch University.
Tigger is our beautiful and very spoilt 10 year old ginger cat. He is the centre of attention at the moment as he is the only furry member of the house hold. He is very independant and does pretty much what he wants to. He can be very affectionate but only when he feels like it. He has his own little quirks and habbits which make him very unique and special to us.

Oh, Brigitte.....your Tigger is so like my Deelee!!!.....ha!....great gingers are everywhere.....your Katie, snuggle1 has much of my Deelee in her style, too......!!!

HI I am Pippa, live in West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia in a small town with my daughter grown up daughter Melanie and my five cats. I work part time in finance. I love animals, especially cats and ponies. I keep my ponies at a friend´s beautiful horse property. Homer is my ginger and white fur baby, he is a large cat and looks tough but is a sooky la la with a girly meow! He is very affectionate most of the time but can get a bit bossy with his sister Antigone sometimes which is a worry. I totally love all my cats and couldn´t imagine my life without them.

Miming, our ginger cat, is the lord of us all. He attacks all of us when we are slow to do what we are ordered to do. At first he just stares at us, if that does not work he rubs against us, if that does not work he starts meowing like crazy, If all else fail he starts swiping at whatever part of us is accessible. Sometimes he swipes just to keep us on our toes.

Hello Albert is my lovely kind ginger boy who is just a little ray of sunshine in my world what you see is what you get, He´s so laid back I can see him at woodstock handing out flowers in the 60´s, His space as some of you will know is shared with Cecil who is a pain to Dear Albert(I call him that well because he is!!!) but at the sign of any danger to Little Cecil Dear Albert all ways goes to his aid,two of the oddest mix match you could´nt find but they are so so close it´s scarry .
Oh and me I´m just me who´s life has been enriched by these fine fellows.

What fun to have you join us Bercec.......my Deelee, for all I give him a nonsense personality that is a bit annoying on other sites......is a gentle sweetheart like your Albert.......I suspect Gingers are quite a nice collection of kittys......

My real mum was a long haired ginger cat. She doesn´t live with us now, just me and my human mum - I miss her when shes at school.

Hello all-

My name is Marianne aka Kittymama. I live in Taylor, Michigan USA. I have 8 furry children but only 3 are ginger cats. Their names are Hawkeye, Hotlipps and Uggy.

Hawkeye and Hotlipps are litter mates and sisters. I have had them since they were about five weeks old. I got them from one of my in-laws neighbors. When I got them I had no idea how sick they were. I got them on November 10, 2001 by January Hawkeye was so sick she almost died. She got a cold so bad she did not eat or drink for most of a week. I nursed her back to health, she is still a very small little girl, she might weigh 5lbs. Even though she is one of my older cats Hawkeye and I have a very special bond, she is my baby. Hotlipps was sick too but she recovered much sooner than Hawkeye, she is quite thin but eats very well and is very long. She is a very beautiful girl with green eyes. She is always the first one around when I don´t feel good.

Uggy came to me when his original human died of a heart attack and in all the confusion of the EMS and people in and out of the house he got out clung on to my husband Jim who was in the backyard in the garden and never looked back. No one came looking for him so he became ours. He was at the time a stocky cat with some attitude, who protected my other outside cats one of which was Harpo. He also protected my feral cats Harpo´s mom Dishie, and his aunt ginger and uncle grumpy. They would let me pet them but no one else, mostly because they had known me all their life. Uggy was like the big daddy of all of them when a cat that was not in our family would come and try to eat Uggy would chase them away so the others could eat. Once Harpo mom disappeared he took Harpo under his wing and showed him how to do outside cat things. I had to bring Harpo in since I knew he would not survive the winter outside. Uggy was street smart and he had a chance so I made a bed for him in my inside porch and left the door open so he could come in. One day my husband brought Uggy in because it was just too cold outside and put him in the downstairs bathroom for the night. Uggy moved to Josh´s bedroom after that so the rest of the family could get used to him. That was four years ago and now he is the head of the house hold. He is older and has lost some weight but he is still as cranky as the day I got him but he is also very sweet and lovable but he would never admit that!

Rosey don´t worry about having a boys name I thought Hawkeye was a boy. Any way there was a great American football player named Rosey Greer[don´t know if I spelled that right.] His given name was Roosevelt and everyone called him Rosey!

I was going to tell you all about Tigger and I and then saw I´d already done so - so have decided to say thanks to all for sharing your stories with us!!

Hi, I am Lyn from Indonesia. My family love cats verymuch, and I naturally fond of this wonderful creature. Many cats own me since I was in college, and I am so thankful they still fond of me until now... There are 16 cats now... Fortunately 3 of my neighbours are Vets, and they help and assist me to take care cats´ health.

Children usually ask (or not ask) us to take care some stray kittens, and periodically visit house to meet and greet cats and cats´ grandmum (= my mom).
Stray cats (including tom cats) are usually come in to find whether they will get feed or just sleep or just fight the other cats.

Cat Juno love to be cuddle all the time (who wasn´t ) and his uncle Linuks loves to hugs him too. Cat Centrowien loves to play outside, she come home just to eat, sleep and get hugged.

I am so please to find the Ginger Cats & Kitties Club.

My mom has always had cats, her other ones were tabbys too named Thor and Nala. mom had pretty girl she was a pretty one cream tabby, she had tommy 10 toes, spooky, little bit, little one, blacky, charger, charger 2, scooter, scooter 2, baby girl, all in all we think mom has had about 30 cats since she was a little girl. dads the dog lover.
