it´s been one week since Ashley "show" blood but until now, there´s no "sign" that she will give birth... any help please? thanks.

2.July 2008 11:15

Minoosh had blood for about 1-2 weeks before she gave birth (just little bits though).
I thought gorgeous Ashley would have had her babies by now,

Is she still eating and getting around ok?
Do you know her due date?
Can you still feel the babies moving around? (If not take her straight to the vet, if they are still moving around all is well)
Has she starting nesting (finding a place to have her babies)?

When Minoosh came close to going into labour she wouldn´t leave me alone for hours until I climbed in the cupbboard (the second I did she went into labour)with her, she instantly lied down and started having contractions.

she´s eating and playing and very much okay. as if nothing is happening to her.
I don´t know her "exact" due date, I think it´s last week of June or first week of July

I called my vet, he told me to observe her closely.... he wanted to she her, but as of now, I´m down (coz of operation of Harim, it cause us a lot of money)...

she´s not nesting,

I don´t know how to feel the movement of the babies...

Sounds like everything is fine , it´s just not time yet.
To feel the babies, when Ashley is resting place your hand gently over her belly where the babies are, it could take a few minutes to feel them moving though, I found with Minoosh night time they were most active.

Hope Harim is healing well!!!

Harim is fine he´s healing well, tomorrow we will go to hospital, they will remove Harim´s sutures.

thank you very much for the informations.... as long as Ashley is active, alert, playful, eating and very normal I feel calm... I´m calling my vet from time to time too...

I will update you asap...

thank you Sharney for asking. Ashley gave birth early this morning. 7/72008... Her one and only baby is so so tiny, compare to other kittens I have seen. but MIRAH (in honor of Harim) is drinking milk and doing great! thanks for all the advice and for the record to help other QUEEN here, she gave birth exactly 2weeks after blood show!

I´m so relieved now and I can sleep longer.

We are so happy all went well and little baby is doing fine.
Mirah is a beautiful name, is Harim a proud Daddy?
We look forward to seeing your precious kitten. I know what you mean when you say how relieved you are and you can sleep longer too, I didn´t sleep properly for 2 weeks before my Minoosh gave birth and even now I still get up through the night once or twice to check on her babies.

Congratualtions Ashley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new little queen Panic was brought in to our home after she became pregnant... she is huge she went from a 6 inch waist to 15 1/2" waist. She has done all the nesting the babies move and kick and swirl.
Is there any way to get a best guess when the babies will arrive? we have had her for about 41/2-5 weeks already and since my male is fixed since he was 9 months..I am sure she was pregnant upon being welcomed in.
Anything that could help me determine about how much more time we are looking at here.

29.July 2008 11:46

Hi Thereca, a queen is pregnant for 9 weeks give or take a few days either way, some can go as long as 1-2 weeks over though. If the babies are all moving around everything is ok.
Hope this helps!
It´s a bit hard to determine the due date as the conception date is unknown.

HI Thereca,
Any news yet?

HI Thereca,
Any news yet?

Not yet. She is really getting big. She weighed about 4 lbs when we brought her in. She now weighs about 8 lbs. Her midsectiion is really getting big, she is now at 22 inches around her belly. The birth canal seems to be filling in. She is fuller down low. The babies are still kicking and rolling.
Any time I am near her she immediately rolls over exposing her belly to me and wants me to scratch her belly. She has milk she is pouching up around the nipples. So I have to assume we are getting really close.
