We love watching all the furry little things... I love talking to them and watching them for hours (Flisan) I like to chase them up a three and when they fly off I´m too scared to get down so mummy has to come and get me, over and over again! (Smulan) Just wait until I get one....WHAT do I do then??? (Mio)

I love love LOOOOOVE watching birds. It´s just one of my favorite things to do. I´m especially attracted to the chirpy one...the ones that screech and caw not so much. Something about the way they move and sound just really gets me excited! I can stare out the windows at them for HOURS...!!

I´m very good at catching them. We have lots in our garden. I sit by the shed and on top of it for hours and usually I catch the odd dumb bird. Makes mom cross though if she catches me!

Hmmmm, should add that I have no use for that annoying blue jay in the front yard who thinks the base of my spine (where my gorgeous tail begins) is his personal target.....I mean, talk about impudence.....the thought that he thinks he can do that to me....what is the world coming to.....I am a cat after all and quite a fine one if I do say so myself and ............wouldn´t hurt a fly (of course, I might reconsider if it would just sit still awhile with a bit of a flutter for amusement´s sake.......)........birds.....´gotta love ´em´....ha!

Though I have never caught a birdie (only because I´m an indoor cat) I love them. She (my human) laughs at me cos I attack the windows to try and catch them. And here is a thought why don´t they make birdie flavoured cat food?

1.June 2008 20:36

i´m an indoor cat so i have never caught one. i spend hours watching out for them and then i try to rush them if they land on our window sill. if only i could go out without the humans holding on to me.

Does chicken count as bird flavoured cat food?

As an inside cat I´m only allowed to watch birds instead of hunting them... I really enjoy doing that from my cat tree, which is just next to the window! I´m always watching them with my sleepy eyes.... if I see one I open them really big!

I think birds may be yummy, I never tried one though.... but they do look yummy!

MY CAT SHIMI HATES BIRDS AND LIKES TO HUNT THEM DOWN

2.June 2008 06:08

I´m an indoor cat who goes out on a leash. I have a mom who cares so much about all living things that she won´t let me get close enough to a bird to taste it.

Birds are just so much fun to watch. We have a lot of seagulls and crows who sit on the fence in front of our living room window. I spend a lot of time sitting in the window watching them and wondering how they´d taste.

The only problem with them is that they´re a bit stupid. I chatter and miaow at them to encourage them to fly into my mouth, but they just sit there and squawk at me. Birds clearly aren´t the most intelligent animals around.

I love watching birdies! Pigeons and doves look so FAT and TASTY! Some birds, like Miner birds, are scary, because they attack me, instead of the other way around. I´m not too sure about Magpies, because they ignore me like I´m not there, and they are not afraid, and they are very big! But not as big as the bush turkey! I don´t think I could ever catch that one, but turkey is good food, right?

If I see a bird I make strange noises. My friend Achiel cath them for me and bring them in the house. Then I can play with it. Watching is also amusing. Strange things birds??? Bolle

If i turn into a rock, they will come really close to me. I quiver with excitement but will not move, because if I move, they fly away.

How do you *catch* one of these things? I can get Reeeeeelllly close, but they´re gone the instant I move. Piper
