I´m Tania, married and have my sweeties Cosmo and Arhea to keep me busy. I´m 34 and work full time in marketing, but my true passion is to one day be a full time author (one can dream). I was born in Romania and moved to Australia when I was 8 with my family. Now I live in Wollonong (south of Sydney)
I would love to get another cat, but concerned about how bossy and controlling Cosmo would handle it

Hello all! Cathie here. I´m in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Born in Melbourne, travelled during childhood (air force family) then we settled in Perth where I lived until after Uni. Got a job in Melbourne, where I always wanted to live. Lived there in my 20s and 30s, then moved to Sydney. Was only meant to be a short stay for a year or so, but I forgot to go back to Melbourne.
Love Sydney but miss Melbourne, and travel back often. I only occasionally go to Perth. It´s changed so much ... well, I suppose a city would in 25 years...
I´m 48, worked in TV production as an editor and producer, then internet site development (theory, not techie stuff). These days I just do consultancy work.
Matilda is the first cat I have had, and she´s been my loyal companion through some good and bad times over the last few years. We share our little apartment with 5 mice, and the recent arrival, kitten.
I have a partner, sort of, but don´t live with him. (My choice - why mess with something that is just fine as it is...)
Great club, mollybellashakes! Glad to find a meeting place with fellow Aussies! You guys are some of the best members of UC!

YAYYYYY! I´ve seen Czech, Italian, Canadian all these cat clubs and nothing for us Aussies! I´ve only signed up those of my cats with an Aussie connection.
Piper, who lives here and hunts dragons & skinks and is tormented by Miner birds, Chookums & Squeak - Chooks lived here her whole life, and Squeak immigrated for her "retirement years" - both buried in the garden, and Connor, who is Aussie through & through!
Ideas - we can celebrate Aussie holidays, especially since we have more holidays than any other country in the world. We can have live parties - because - hey we´re in similar time zones!!!!!

Hi all! I´m Naomi or Nay as I am usually called. I live in Tasmania on the outskirts of Hobart...in a shared flat with my two best guy friends (one of them I refer to as ´the noisy one´). I´m 22, a uni student with two jobs and an internship at the other end of the state. I´m very busy and I do something different every day! lol.
I´m studying Human Resource Management and I´ll be graduating next year
I have 4 cats - Bellamy, Muse, Uno & Lamington.
Bellamy I found at my parents place back when I was living at home, and I managed to talk my dad into letting me keep him. He was the one who kept me company when I first moved out! Then I introduced Muse who chose to come home with me after I walked into a pet store. Then she had Uno, and then Uno had Lamington. So I have 3 generations of cats! Uno and Lammy are the only ones to get along now!
Like the club though! Great Idea!

Hi, what a great idea for a club, just saw it tonight! I´m Pippa and live in West Gippsland Vic, have lived in Vic for most of my life (was born in UK). Moved out from Melbourne SE suburbs to West Gippy 10 years ago. I was married but no longer, and live with my daughter Mel who is 23. I work in Finance/Admin in a local school. I have 4 cats living with me, Homer, Antigone, Bowie and Harrison. Mitten who I was fostering has recently gone to live on a friend´s acreage and is a much loved member of their family. She loves it there. I have been to see her and get regular updates and am going to go and take some pics soon as I miss her as she is so sweet.

Hi, I´m Angie and I live in Kempton, Tasmania. It´s situated on the Midland Highway about 40 mins north of Hobart. I am originally from the UK and emigrated here in 1982. I have been happily married to Bruce for 32 years and have two daughters, Ruth who is 32 and Naomi, 22. I have 3 beautiful grandchildren, Albert 6, Melanie 5 and Douglas 15 months. I work at the Mercury newspaper in the classified department, mainly answering calls from customers placing ads but get to work on various features throughout the year. My first job at the age of 16 was a Telegraphist. My hobbies are cake decorating, dressmaking, craftwork and scrabble, among many others too numerous to mention!
I have two cats, Lucky Brooke who we rescued from the side of the Brooker Highway and Constantine who used to be my daughter Ruth´s cat.
I love Tasmania and wouldn´t want to live anywhere else in the world. It is a beautiful island state. I would love to visit mainland Australia though and Bruce and I look forward to being ´Grey Nomads´ in our retirement when we will be able to sail over the water!!

Hi all ... my name´s Kim, and like Marissa, I hale from Newcastle where I´m a community worker who is studying to get her Master´s in Disability Studies. I´m also a die-hard cat owner, and have been lucky enough to have been owned by over 20 kitties during my life.
My current owners are Atticus and Jem, both of whom I adopted last year when I moved out of home. Atticus came from a litter of kittens who lived nearby, whilst Jem was adopted from a litter of five that was found at the school where I was teaching at the time. Both of them were named after characters in "To Kill a Mockingbird," which is one of my favourite novels.
Anyway, it´s great to meet you all and I look forward to getting to know everyone (and their kitties) in the future!

Hi there!
My name is Ruth-Anne. Am 32, married to Dwain and we have three kids, Albert, Melanie and Douglas. I am a cook, but currently have put that aside to attend my brood! Dwain works for Cerebral Palsy association, and also here on the hobby farm we have.
We live here on 5 acres at Mount Seymour in Tas. Am 30 mins from Mum (Angie...username Kempton) and about an hour from my sister Naomi (belbelmuseunolam)...so we are a United cats family!!
We have one cat Tegan...and she was a rescue cat. Living unloved and starving with 11 other kittens and 4 adult cats in squalour....she was lucky to survive. She is a total JOY to have around...and is the most tinsy petite cat I have ever had (All my other cats have been great big cuddly lumps) and she has such a personality!
I love United and all who are on here!
