I have seen another cat....in OUR YARD!

Yes, it is true...for the first time I have seen another cat I don´t know in our yard!!

It all started when I got out of the bathroom window. I am getting quite adept at sliding these windows open if they are left ajar...and I just felt like a bit of a razzle, so I slid open the window and jumped down on the decking.

It was VERY COLD still but the snow had melted, so I tip-toed to the end of the decking, vaulted over the railing and onto the cold wet grass (It was yukky). Just as I was about to go back inside...I saw HIM. There was a VERY scruffy male Tom cat sitting under the big tree....and he was HUGE. About 5 times my size!

He called out to me...and I was fascinated for a second...but THEN he started to walk towards me....and I PANICKED! I bolted back over the railing, up onto the window sill, down the hallway and under the buffet! I have heard his voice at night calling to me, but have not seen him again.

Mummy said he is a feral cat BORN in the wild, and that I best stay indoors as apparently REALLY feral cats can be quite a rough bunch....so for now I reckon I will just stay indoors.

Still...He does have a nice singing voice.....

Yipes, Tegan.... be careful with those feral cats. This one might think you haven´t had your I Want Kittens song removed yet. For now, only go outside with your mom, or meow to this guy from the window. Maybe he´s just really hungry and isn´t feral at all but lost.... and he´s hoping your mom will feed him!

Tegan, you definitely did the right thing. Those feral cats are indeed a rough crowd. Plus they will be covered in fleas and goodness knows what else. stay indoors and only go out when your Mum can watch. Whew, lucky you had your "I want kittens song removed"

That´s not good Tegan. The other cat will mark on your territory. We have that sometimes and Arhea and I watch them from our windows. One time we sat at the back door and the cat jumped at us but crashed into the door. We got such a fright that our tails puffed out.

Ooohhh I am Seething!!!
What does that mangy tom think of himself – hanging around outside your house like some sort of stalker!
Well I teleported out there and gave him a talking to that he’ll never forget (made him an offer he couldn’t refuse – his life or …..) Sorry if I sound a bit heavy handed but this had to be done – no one messes with my girl!!!!
As for his singing – that would be no match to mine as I have a great voice:
