I am an 8-year-old tiger that loves lounging, affection, and general attention. I am also finicky about who, when, and where the attention comes from. I am in a home where I am well cared for, and when the door is opened, I high-tail it for the other room! Who knows what dangers lie in the great beyond...

Likes

I enjoy being brushed, petted, and my mommy´s singing. I like to run through the house mindlessly at three in the morning, because I know we live on the third floor and the people downstairs enjoy the sound of my galavanting. I also LOVE special needs persons, as my mommy works with them, and they come over often.

Dislikes

I dislike certain people who come in, and make it known by distancing myself. I do not like hard food since mommy spoiled me with soft food. I cannot stand being locked out of her room at night, or out of the bathroom when she is trying to have peace. At any other time, I will joyfully ingnore her. We have such a lovely relationship.

What makes me special

I was initially being "cat-sit" by my mother from another family. She had a seizure and it really scared me! So I made sure she knew I was there by licking and holding her face when she came too. She immediately called the family, and said they couldn´t have me back, which, they were going to abandon me anyways. She named me Melissa after a kitten that she had previously had that was torn fataly from her, and I have been her heart ever since! I love my mommy!
