Need some suggestions please

I am writing concerning my beautiful Precious who passed away 1 year ago, Sept. 19th. Since that date is fast approaching, I as her devoted mommy want to do something special on that date in memory of my girl. I can´t believe that the tears still flow when I think of her, and even as I type after all this time.

If any of you can think of something special that we can do, I would love your suggestions. Precious was cremated and is in an urn in the livingroom

what about writing a poem for her letting her know how very special she was to you. You could also plant a flowering shrub in her memory.

make a memory book with her pictures in it and leave it out for visitors to look at. Or make a shadow box with stuff she loves in it. Make it happy memories.

Are there cat/animal rescue societies where you are? I know of several here, and they all have animals that are ill or injured needing care, with accordingly huge vet bills. Similar to making a donation to a shelter, you might make a donation in the lovely Precious´ name to a shelter for a particular cat that needs special care. And let the tears flow for Precious - you´re talking to people who truly understand your sorrow.

Hi Pam, I would take some time and sit in Precious´ favourite spot. When ever I am feeling the need to have some "Jess" time I like to sit in her fave spot. On the spare bed in the middle of all the soft toys. Always brings a smile as I remember the good memories. Make sure all the others leave you be, and just have some Precious time.

be sad for a moment it`s a good emotion,but keep it in perspective, I often look at my rocky`s photo, and remember, for the moment.

I would make a donation. It is such a huge help to other kitties. And then I would write. . . she is a beautiful cat. I think that is what my mommy is going to do for me. . .because my one year is a few days before yours. . . >*x*< Willie
