Hello. Its unfortunate that my first diary entry is kinda on a negative note, but what can I do? I am currently not feeling very well, since I have an ear infection. Some day last week, I got into a fight with another cat, a stray. The stray gave me a good chomp on my left ear and it proceeded to go bad from there. My ear hurts and there was a bit of pus inside the ear canal. Most probably some bacteria got into my ear as a result of the stray´s bite, giving me a nasty case of ear infection.

My humans have taken me to the vet, from which I left with a bagful of medicine. After being given some antibiotics and ear drops, I felt better. The vet advised my humans to fit me with an e-collar, but since they knew I´m gonna be miserable if I had an e-collar on me, they came up with an alternative...a head sock! Hehe. My daddy´s father (which is my grandpa, I think) took one of his old unused socks, cut out the bottom half, put 3 holes in it for my arms and 1 good ear, then put it on my head. Now I look a bit like a cat ninja! Hehe. The head-sock would also serve to keep flies away from the wound, thus preventing a maggot infestation...ewww.

I am gradually recovering, but today my humans noticed that I´ve scratched the wound and made it bleed again. So they cleaned it and made me put on the headsock again...I´m starting to hate it a bit. It´s no fun being a ninja, I discovered.
