About me

When I was 7-8 weeks old, I was found by the human. She was walking on the sidewalk when I just popped out from between houses almost under her feet and very close to the street where car drivers would never have seen me because I was so tiny and dark in colour. She looked around but I was all alone. It was about 8:00 pm and getting dark. She did not feel good about leaving me there and so she took me home, where I have been ever since. My name is a corruption of the Hindi word for evening - Nisha, and the French word for cat - chat.
The human has a friend whose daughter´s name is Nisha because she was born in the evening, and since she found me in the evening and, rumour has it that I am a cat, my name seemed obvious.
