Kittibits, I wasn´t the least bit worried that we´d run into something that you didn´t pack for! You need to start trusting your own skills, tom! After all, I never would have thought to bring a bicycle pump - which we needed - and without one of those we would have had to blow up the kangaroo in a way that is too disgusting to mention.

I think a kangaroo would make a very good assistant for a cat. They don´t eat cats, and they have those pouches so they sort of have built-in tool belts. And they´re friendly - not too bright, though, but friendly.

I´m sure your Mom would let you keep a kangaroo in the house - think how useful it would be when she had to do shopping! She wouldn´t have to carry her own bags anymore! And if that fails, then tell her the kangaroo is a space alien.

Make sure you get a girl kangaroo though. The boy kangaroos don´t have pouches.

I think your mum has sort of put the kibosh on your getting a kangaroo. She even wrote to MY mum about it!!!!! I´m telling you, if humans didn´t have opposable thumbs, there´d be a bounty on their heads.

I suppose if a kangaroo just happened to appear in your yard, kind of totally by accident and stuff, and looked at your mom with those big brown eyes and looked all sad..... maybe your mom would let you keep it. Although it probably shouldn´t be one of the big red ones - try for one of the smaller grey ones, they don´t eat as much either.
