But please read this and help if you can.

Thanks for all the good wishes. For all those that don´t know, we have 64 cats here, two injured, Cinnamon and Rex, 7 large dogs, 6 are very senior, two with cancer, and now 6 puppies we took in. I noticed several new people from Florida, USA. I wanted to let you know a good way to help our rescue, especially in Florida. A bank there will give us $100 for each person that opens a checking account with them and leaves it open for at least 6 months or so. The money comes from the bank, not your account. If you need a checking account, please open one at SunTrust and we will get a donation from them if you tell them to send it to Buckeye Farm, Inc. in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Our vet bills are accumulating and we could use the help. We don´t want to turn down any animals, but at the moment, not only are we FULL but have a debt of $5000 in vet bills and operating costs. If you can help, we would be very grateful.

Cinnamon´s mom

Bless you all for sending prayers for Cinnamon. He is such a trooper. We will soon be getting his hip fixed and hope that helps his tail and urination control. If he can at least walk and run better, he will return to the outside. If he gains contol of urine, this baby will be an indoor cat living in my house. He is one of my favorite kitties. His mom and brothers are outside. We took in his family from Ohio. His mom was caught in a Hav-a-Hart trap and the 6 babies were brought to us. Only one kitten got adopted. Very few of our cats get adopted since we are in a rural area, so we have become a sanctuary for cats.

I wish I could do that but alas live in Ontario Canada. I hope others who are able to open a checking account at SunBank in Florida do so. What a great thing they are doing re donations.

So relieved that Cinnamon will be getting his hip fixed soon. He is such a sweetie.

Thank you for your catmail. Tomorrow we have to try to take Vinnie to the vet to get another tumor checked and removed. Honeybear is not doing well, so Cinnamon will have to wait a little more. It seems we live at the vet anymore.

It is amazing that you can offer this sanctuary for so many animals who need a home. Blessings to all of you, and continuing to send Cinnamon healing thoughts.

Thank you for the good wishes. Honeybear (dog) is not doing well. I know it´s not going to be long for 6 of the dogs. That is one of the reasons we took the puppies in, knowing our dogs were so old and need to have some protection out here from coyotes, if nothing else.

Do you take CC donations?

Inappropriate 2.June 2008 21:18

No, sorry, costs too much to have credit card acceptance. At our shows we lose sales sometimes not being able to take CC but it´s like $30 a month and a percentage of each sale and donation. With an annual budget of $10-$15 thousand, that´s alot of money that could go to food or vet bills. Lord knows we sure got the vet bills. Thanks anyway.
