About me
The trumpets blared!
The Angels sang
The Pearly Gates opened wide
And in walked Duchess
25/3/2007
I was a present for my mum as she was sad because she had moved interstate and was feeling lonely.
When I arrived home I was a little ball of blue fluff and mum fell in love with me instantly (the feeling was mutual)
I lived a very happy life and even entered a few cat shows where I won "Best Kitten In Show" Mum was so proud of me (she already knew that I was the best kitten anyway).
One day I was outside and ran across the road in front of a man on his bike and somehow my tail got caught up in the spokes and put nasty cuts on it. Mum took me to the vet and they fixed it up and put a bandage on it but when I went back a few days later the vet said that it was too badly damaged and it would be better for me if they removed my tail. I did feel better after and in a few weeks I was good as new but my tail was only about 5cm long. That was the end of my show career, but Mum loved me so much it didn´t matter to her. I lived a very long and indulged life and died of old age. My family were devasted when I passed but I look down on them and I have a lovely resting spot under a silver birch tree in the back yard just in the spot I loved to sun myself.
I was 19 years old when I passed away.
My Photo was taken just before I died.
