My brother´s parking space...

My dolt of a brother is going to be reunited with me in the land over the rainbow bridge very soon, if he keeps being as silly as he is.

Every day, when his humans drive home, he flops down right in their parking space! When they roll down the windows and tell him to move, he just looks up at them as if to say: "What? This is MY parking space. Go find your own."

If he keeps this up, they´ll run him over soon, by pure accident. Smudge is WAY too comfortable around cars. What am I to do?

His humans might try spraying him with water. Ours humans broke one of us from climbing the curtains with a spray bottle. Poor Cleo was NOT fond of water in the face! LOL The spray was set on ´mist´ so she didn´t get hit hard.

They would probably have to set their´s on ´stream´ in order to reach the cat from the car window. We would certainly try that. It´s better than getting run over!

Our humans actually did run over one of the cats; broke his hip (he recovered just fine). That was MANY years ago, when we cats were still allowed outside. Today we are all inside cats. And that is one of the reasons why. :^)

Hope that helps. Please let us know.

Thanks guys. I try telling my daft brother that it´s not his parking space, but honestly, he can be so thick-headed sometimes. He thinks he has eighteen lives, rather than the usual nine.
He only gets out of the way when his human drives VERY slowly towards him, and he gets the hint. The problem is that I don´t know how friendly he is towards OTHER cars. He lives in a complex. There are several parking spaces near his humans´ one. If he starts getting friendly with THOSE cars, and they don´t know him, they wont look out for him, because they wont expect him to be there, and they might hit him by accident. His humans know better, but their neighbours might not...

Where do they keep the welcome mat here in cat heaven, Socks? I´ll go get it ready to roll out for the idiot cat. I got hit by a car and let me tell you, for a second there it was no fun at all.

I know darcyd, but just try and tell that to my idiot twin brother. Smudge just won´t listen to me! He can be so frustrating and arrogant sometimes. He loves me, but sometimes he´s condescending towards me, because I died when we were just kittens, and he´s been alive on Earth for enough years that he has started to feel as though he knows EVERYTHING! It´s OK though, I get back at him by chasing away the birds near him, so that he can´t catch them! They always fly of just as he pounces! It´s so funny! I bet he´ll listen to me in future. I don´t like to be mean, but sometimes I have to be mean to be kind.

That is EXACTLY what Uncle Stupey did until he got run over. That broke him quick, I can tell you!

"The problem is that I don´t know how friendly he is towards OTHER cars."

That is a major problem. Is there any way his humans can talk to the others in the complex and find out?

And they also don´t want to drive him off to other spaces with the water. Other humans might not be as careful. Quite a problem. Let´s hope it doesn´t end badly. But you will have to try something.

Good luck to you.

Oh, maybe try using that cat repellent stuff in ALL the parking spaces? I´ve never used it, don´t know what´s in it, so some research is in order first. But I´ve seen it advertised on cat sites. It might be just what you need.
