About me

I am a stray that the human feeds on her rounds every night. We have known each other for about
4 years. She was very concerned for my safety over the past 2 winters, 2006 and 2007, when I first froze my front foot and then froze my back foot the next winter.
She respects the fact that I would not be happy indoors. I have been out all my life and have a lot of friends in a very large territory, 9 blocks by four (that she knows of) which I patrol every night, except when it is very rainy or stormy.

What makes me special

I got the name Shadow because I am exactly the same colour as the shadows in the yard where I first met the human. Sometimes she can only see my eyes, as the rest of me blends right in.
